You will be joining our dynamic DevOps Squad as a Test engineer within the Acquiring domain. The DevOps hybrid (cross-border) Squad functions within an Agile/Scrum environment, delivering high- quality solutions and creates robust integration solutions, for building APIs, facilitating secure file transfers, implement real time processing, and supporting various integration needs to drive streamlined and effective business operations. The work you do will directly impact the financial ecosystem, and you will have the chance to implement cutting-edge DevOps practices, automate processes, and contribute to both testing and analysis.

 

 

What will your job look like

Your main focus will be on the testing and analysis side within the Integration Platform applications. Daily, you will discuss possible solutions and ideas with your colleagues to refine test and analysis processes.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Collaborate with developers to ensure testable design, contract testing (consumer/producer agreements), and robust test data management.
  • Monitor, log, and trace test results; contribute to telemetry requirements and dashboards for test coverage and quality metrics.
  • Support release readiness activities: create and maintain test plans, test data, and rollback plans; participate in defect triage and risk assessments.
  • Provide quality guidance, participate in code reviews, and contribute to test strategy documentation and knowledge sharing.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive test strategies for integration platforms using Apache Camel, Kafka-based pipelines, and containerized deployments.
  • Create and maintain automated test suites (unit, integration, contract, and end-to-end) for integration components and data pipelines.
  • Implement tests that cover REST/SOAP APIs, messaging (JMS), data formats (JSON, XML, Avro), and schema evolution.
  • Use Testcontainers, Camel Test, JUnit (or equivalent), and Kafka test utilities to validate components in isolation and in full-stack scenarios.
  • Validate real-time processing, data integrity, and event streaming behaviour (Kafka producers/consumers, topics, offsets, partitions, schema registry).

  • Bachelor’s and/or Master degree in IT related fields;
  • At least 8+ years’ of experience as a Test engineer or similar role;
  • Proven experience testing API-driven, event-driven, and data integration solutions (Apache Camel, Kafka) in Java-based environments;
  • Strong experience with automated testing frameworks and test tooling (Testcontainers, Camel Test, Kafka test utilities);
  • Experience validating REST/SOAP APIs, JMS messaging, and data formats (JSON, XML, Avro) with schema evolution;
  • Understanding of security and data governance considerations in integrations (data privacy, encryption, access controls);
  • Strong problem-solving, debugging, and analytical skills; excellent written and verbal communication; collaborative mindset in Agile teams.

 

Skills we did like:

 

  • Perform performance, load, and stress testing where applicable; identify bottlenecks and collaborate on optimization.
  • Verify CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation, including pipeline tests, deployment validation, and rollback strategies.
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) and related service testing (managed Kafka, storage, IAM)
  • Experience with monitoring/logging/tracing concepts and tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/EFK) to validate observability in tests.
