The Opportunity
As an Assistant Platform Owner, you will be responsible for the lifecycle of the assigned platform(s), ensuring their orderly operation, and facilitating communication between internal teams and platform vendors.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Research and identify technologies, tools, and technical solutions suited for platform application development and improvement.
- Participate and apply best practices throughout the research, development, testing, deployment, and monitoring phases of application lifecycles.
- Compile operations SLAs and performance KPIs for assigned platforms.
- Perform capacity planning as needed and ensure high availability of platforms.
- Compile necessary scenarios and conduct unit tests to ensure application changes work as intended without introducing regressions.
- Manage platform-related deployments and troubleshoot applications and infrastructure resources, devising fixes in collaboration with application vendors.
- Manage daily operations of the platforms and provide comprehensive technical documentation.
- Act as an intermediary between technology partners and vendors, fostering cross-functional collaboration on pertinent issues and processes.
- Participate in projects as a team member or lead projects as an accountable owner, contributing time, skills, and knowledge.
