The Opportunity

 

Within the second line of defense Compliance team, Worldline is looking to hire a Compliance Officer for the Netherlands. 

 

Worldline maintains a payment institution license in the Netherlands and is subject to the supervision of the Dutch National Bank (DNB). The Regulatory Compliance Officer will be responsible for the compliance of Worldline with the regulatory provisions applicable to payment institutions.

 

 

Day-to-Day Responsibilities​

 

  • Report on compliance status and risks to the management and the local head of Compliance 
  • Ensure that appropriate compliance processes are in place locally to meet the Group, Regional and Local compliance standards, policies and international regulatory requirements, and to identify and manage current and emerging compliance risks and issues.
  • Perform documentation revisions
  • Perform Regulatory Watch and handle regulatory evolution,  assess business impact of new EU and Domestic laws and ensure their appropriate implementation
  • Ensuring processes & procedures are adequately designed to meet regulatory requirements
  • Support and/or monitor mandatory and periodical reporting to regulatory bodies 
  • Provide compliance advise and support in  structuring of new business offerings
  • Assess future business activities to identify potential compliance risks
  • Ensure that, where required, incidents are escalated appropriately and reported to the national competent authority
  • In cooperation with the local head of compliance, prepare communication and reporting to the regulator

 

The Regulatory Compliance Officer will operate in an international environment and work closely with various teams in the organization (Regional and Group Compliance, Risk, Legal, Sales…). He/She/They will report to the local head of Compliance responsible for the conduct of Worldline’s payment services in the Netherlands.

 

 

Who Are We Looking For

 

We look for big thinkers. People who can drive positive change, step up and show what’s next – people with passion, can-do attitude and a hunger to learn and grow. In practice this means:

 

  • Master in Law or Business or equivalent experience in payment industry regulatory function
  • One to three years of relevant experience in the financial sector in a second line role 
  • Knowledge of PSD2, applicable EBA guidelines, the Wft, DORA and other relevant laws and regulations or willingness to learn these topics.
  • Ability to conduct second line assessments on an organization
  • Knowledge of the card payment or banking industry is a must
  • Multicultural mindset and flexibility, able to work in an international and fast changing environment
  • Fluent in English and Dutch (native speaker level)
