Acquiring Fraud Analyst

This is Worldline

We are the innovators at the heart of the payments technology industry, shaping how the world pays and gets paid. The solutions our people build today power the growth of millions of businesses tomorrow. From your local coffee shop to unicorns and international banks. From San Francisco to Auckland. We are in every corner of the world, in every part of commerce.  And just as we help our customers accelerate their business, we are committed to helping our people accelerate their careers. Together, we shape the evolution.

The Opportunity

Join a team that sits at the front line of protecting the payments ecosystem in a fast-moving, international environment. As an Acquiring Fraud Analyst, you will play a key role in identifying suspicious activity, minimizing fraud losses, and strengthening the controls that keep our merchants, customers, and business safe. This is an opportunity to work at the intersection of payments, risk, data, and operations, where your analysis will directly influence decisions and improve how we detect and respond to fraud.

You will be part of a highly visible function with a clear mission: to stay ahead of evolving fraud threats while enabling sustainable business growth. The role offers a unique combination of investigation, analytical thinking, stakeholder collaboration, and continuous improvement. It is ideal for someone who enjoys solving problems, spotting patterns in complex data, and turning insight into practical action. If you are energized by working in a dynamic payments environment and want your work to have immediate, measurable impact, this is a role where you can truly make a difference.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Review alerts, investigations, and dispute trends daily, escalating material cases promptly and documenting findings with clear, actionable recommendations.
  • Run end-to-end investigations, liaising with operations, compliance, schemes, and commercial teams to support timely risk decisions and controls
  • Develop fraud monitoring rules and detection scenarios to identify suspicious merchant and transaction behavior across card-present and remote payment channels
  • Build reporting and analysis that highlight fraud patterns, portfolio vulnerabilities, merchant outliers, and emerging risks for internal stakeholders.
  • Lead fraud prevention initiatives by proposing rule changes, control enhancements, and process improvements that reduce losses and strengthen governance.
  • Coordinate with merchants and internal teams during fraud events, ensuring communication is accurate, professional, and focused on practical resolution

Who Are We Looking For

We look for big thinkers. People who can drive positive change, step up and show what’s next – people with passion, can-do attitude and a hunger to learn and grow. In practice this means:

  • You combine sharp analytical thinking with sound judgment, curiosity, and resilience when assessing unusual activity and fast-changing fraud risks.
  • You’ve got substantial knowledge of card payment fraud typologies, dispute drivers, transaction monitoring, and merchant risk within acquiring environments.
  • Ability to investigate complex cases independently, prioritize effectively under pressure, and translate findings into clear actions for business stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication skills, with confidence to challenge constructively, explain risk clearly, and collaborate across operational, commercial, and compliance teams.
  • 3–5 years working in fraud risk, transaction monitoring, investigations, or payment operations, ideally within acquiring, fintech, or banking

Shape the evolution

We are on an exciting journey towards the next frontiers of payments technology, and we look for big thinkers, people with passion, can-do attitude and a hunger to learn and grow. Here you’ll work with ambitious colleagues from around the world, take on unique challenges as a team, and make a real impact on the society. With an empowering culture, strong technology and extensive training opportunities, we help you accelerate your career - wherever you decide to go. Join our global team of 18,000 innovators and shape a tomorrow that is yours to own.
