The Opportunity
A chance to join a global group in accounting and taxation with direct responsibility for balance sheet reconciliations, recording, and compliance with policies. You will drive key process improvements, collaborate with internal and external auditors, and contribute to the preparation of financial statements in accordance with IFRS and tax obligations. This is a permanent role focused on professional development, ideal for someone seeking growth, tangible impact, and a clear career path in finance.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Ensures compliance with all Worldline group policies, procedures, and requirements
- Completes monthly balance sheet reconciliations accurately and on time
- Enforces internal control policies and procedures across financial operations
- Oversees the timely preparation, review, and approval of monthly bank account and cash reconciliations
- Ensures proper recording and classification of accounting events according to International Financial Reporting Standards and Tax Accounting
- Oversees booking and payment processes
- Prepares tax submissions including VAT, CIT, withholding tax, and other relevant filings
- Collaborates with internal and external auditors during statutory and regulatory audit preparations
- Prepares accurate and timely financial statements in accordance with regulatory requirements and company policies
Who Are We Looking For
We look for big thinkers. People who can drive positive change, step up and show what's next – people with passion, can-do attitude and a hunger to learn and grow. In practice this means:
- 4-5 years of experience in accounting and tax matters
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting; additional relevant post-graduate studies are a plus
- Proficient use of English (both verbal and written)
- Strong MS Office skills, especially Excel Team-oriented mindset with good leadership potential
- Excellent communication and analytical skills
- Experience with ERP systems (SAP experience is preferred)
- Α' Class Accountant certification is advantageous
