The Opportunity
As the Account Manager for our SMB Regional Business Merchant Services, you will be responsible for nurturing and expanding relationships with our high-value SMB clients. You will also play a crucial role in developing new business opportunities within the SMB segment. The ideal candidate will have a robust understanding of merchant services, a passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences, and the ability to drive results through strategic account management and targeted sales initiatives.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
1. Client Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong, long-lasting client relationships with high-value SMB clients.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
- Conduct regular check-ins and business reviews to assess client satisfaction and identify growth opportunities.
2. Portfolio Management:
- Oversee a portfolio of high-value accounts, ensuring client needs are met while maximizing Worldline offerings.
- Develop and implement account strategies to drive client engagement and loyalty.
- Monitor client performance metrics and analyze data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
3. Sales and Growth:
- Allocate dedicated time to actively seek and secure new client opportunities within the SMB segment, contributing to overall sales targets.
- Identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling additional Worldline services tailored to client needs.
- Collaborate with the sales team to support new business acquisition initiatives and participate in pitching to prospective clients.
4. Collaboration and Cross-Functional Teamwork:
- Work closely with internal teams (e.g., sales, marketing, technical support) to deliver seamless service to clients.
- Facilitate communication between clients and relevant departments to ensure alignment and address client requirements effectively.
5. Market Knowledge and Insights:
- Stay informed about industry trends, competitor offerings, and best practices in merchant services.
- Provide insights and feedback to the organization to enhance our product offerings and client experience.
6. Reporting and Administration:
- Maintain accurate records of account activities, client interactions, and performance metrics.
- Prepare and present reports on account status, performance, and client feedback to management.
Who Are We Looking For
People who can drive positive change, step up and show what’s next – people with passion, can-do attitude and a hunger to learn and grow. In practice this means:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Marketing, or a related field.
- Proven experience (3+ years) as an Account Manager or similar role in merchant services, financial services, or related industry.
- Strong understanding of payment processing and merchant services solutions.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple accounts, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
- Proficient in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Fluent in Swedish and English.
