In context of card payment authorization and switching a dedicated team is responsible for the product development and services based on the Worldline Authorization and Switching software suite „Worldline Pay Front Office“ (WLP FO), combined with other components, e. g. for card management back office or fraud solutions for which other teams inside the company are in charge. Both processing and software licensing offerings are in scope. We are looking forward to a Junior Application Developer (m/f/d) for our team.


Your day-to-day responsibilities include:


  • Analyze, design, implement and manage software programs and solutions for processing electronic payments based on the Authorization and Switching software suite WLP FO

  • Ensure coordination of requirements with the Service Delivery team

  • Design, configure and install customer systems

  • Implement customer-specific adaptations and extensions

  • Design, develop and execute unit tests, test cases and test strategies

  • Review results of test cases and make adjustments to meet requirements

  • Maintain and upgrade existing systems and software

  • Identify areas for modification in existing programs and subsequently developing these modifications

  • Write and implement efficient code

  • Document all aspects of software, for ongoing maintenance and revisions

  • Collaborate with other IT specialists and support people from other teams, e.g. working in client projects or operation services and participate in on-going training to stay up-to-date in required skills

Skills in scope:


  • Master’s degree in software engineering, computer science or similar field or comparable background

  • First experience in software development would be an advantage, preferably in the area of electronic payments

  • Knowledge and experience in object orientated programming in C++ and Java (optional)

  • Knowledge and experience with relational databases, SQL and data model development would be benficial

  • Fluent in English, oral and written​


Skills we’d like:


  • You are very accurate and demonstrate high attention to detail

  • ​German language is a plus

  • Knowledge or experience with agile methodologies would be an advantage
