The Opportunity
We are seeking a Test Engineer to join our Financial Services - Acquiring Division, specifically within our Core Acquiring Tribe. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of our payment solutions through comprehensive testing strategies. This position offers the opportunity to work with cutting-edge payment technologies while contributing to the delivery of robust and secure applications.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Design and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts on the basis of specifications
- Create and maintain automated test suites for payment applications
- Perform functional, regression, and system testing
- Identify, document, and track bugs through resolution
- Collaborate with developers and product owners to understand requirements and features
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and sprints
- Maintain test environments and test data
- Create and update test documentation
Who Are We Looking For

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in software testing
- Strong knowledge of testing methodologies and best practices (STLC)
- Experience with test automation frameworks and tools
- Knowledge of SQL and database testing (e.g. Oracle, Postgres)
- Experience with API testing and web services (e.g. SOAP)
- Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git)
- Understanding of Agile development processes
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent documentation skills
- Spoken and written communication skills in German
- T-shaped mindset: deep expertise in testing with broad knowledge across software development lifecycle
- Experience in financial/payment systems is a plus (ISO 8583)
