About the team

Our Finance team is a strategic partner to the organization, responsible for driving financial performance, ensuring robust governance and enabling data-driven  commercial decisions.

The group’s scope extends beyond traditional finance to commercially focused functions like Pricing and Portfolio Management,  a dedicated Advanced Business Intelligence (ABI) team and strategic Procurement. This integrated structure ensures that financial discipline and commercial acumen are embedded in all our operations, safeguarding our assets while actively fueling our sustainable growth in the Australian market.

 

Your mission

As Procurement Manager, you will execute the day-to-day and strategic procurement activities that optimises our company's third-party spend and manages our strategic vendor relationships. You’ll develop and execute sourcing strategies that deliver the best possible value, quality and service  for the business.

You’ll operate as an individual contributor with strong cross-functional collaboration.

Reporting to the Head of Procurement & Sourcing, you’ll be responsible for the entire procurement lifecycle, from sourcing and negotiation to contract management, ensuring we operate efficiently and mitigate supply chain risk.

 

Areas of responsibility

Strategy & Governance

  • Contribute to the development and implementation of the company’s overall procurement and strategic sourcing strategy, policies and procedures.
  • Establish and monitor key procurement metrics (KPIs) to track savings, efficiency and vendor performance against targets.
  • Ensure alignment with risk, legal, and compliance requirements within the procurement lifecycle.

Strategic Sourcing & Vendor Management

  • Lead and execute strategic sourcing initiatives for specific high-value or defined spend categories, from market analysis to contract execution.
  • Manage relationships with key suppliers in assigned categories; conduct periodic performance reviews and drive continuous improvement.
  • Drive supplier relationship management (SRM) activities and support the SRM framework to extract supplier value.

Leadership & Stakeholder Partnership

  • Act as a trusted advisor to internal stakeholders, understanding their procurement needs and providing expert guidance and support.
  • Coordinate with finance, legal, risk, and business teams to ensure alignment and timely delivery of procurement objectives.
  • Support cross-functional projects requiring procurement subject-matter expertise.

 

What you’ll need

Skills and Experience

  • Proven experience in procurement or strategic sourcing in a comparable senior or mid-level role; demonstrated ability to deliver cost savings and value within assigned categories.
  • Experience in procuring a range of goods and services, particularly within a technology or financial services context.
  • Strong contract negotiation skills with solid understanding of commercial and legal terms.
  • Familiarity with supplier relationship management concepts and performance measurement.
  • Proficient in procurement systems, e-procurement, MS Office, and data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, BI tools).

  • Results-oriented with a customer-centric approach and attention to detail.
  • Self-motivated, structured, and able to manage multiple sourcing initiatives simultaneously.

Qualifications

  • Tertiary degree in Business, Supply Chain Management,  Finance, Law, or a related field.
  • A professional qualification such  as CIPS is expected.
