The opportunity:

At ANZ Worldline Payment Solutions we are a high-performance bid management team within the Sales Support structure, focusing on strategic customer opportunities across new business, growth and retention.

 

The primary focus of the bid management team is to support Sales (Business Development, Sales and Account Managers) achieve their portfolio growth aspirations. This is achieved by preparing, project managing and responding to Bid Proposal opportunities (EOIs/RFIs/RFPs) sector events and other proactive pitch pursuit related activities across the current and targeted Australian portfolio. The bid management team will ensure pursuit excellence is achieved across the full sales cycle and all bid opportunities of varying complexity within the Corporate and Institutional customer segments.

 

Key responsibilities:

Reporting to the Senior Bid Manager, you will be responsible for leading and owning the end to end project management of allocated bid opportunities. Working within a focused team of Bid Managers who collectively, ensure timely delivery of compliant, benchmark-raising and commercially sound bids through to submission.

 

As Bid Manager, you will bring your expertise in project management, experience in managing stakeholders and have sound organisation and communications skills.

 

You will navigate opportunities through the sales process, actively contribute to instilling a culture of success, and drive key elements required for successful deal outcomes, including:

 

  • Adoption of established bid management processes and activities, while ensuring consistency and quality is not compromised
  • Lead and support Sales through the end to end bid project management process with the objective to maximise the win rate
  • Manage the proposal review process prior to submission as well as identifying and implementing process improvements to the bid function
  • Ensure company and group bid management processes are always applied and compliant (risk tracking and mitigation)
  • Proactively work with key stakeholders, Sales and Product teams, ensuring enhancements and changes are applied to the bid database and toolkit
  • Be innovative, a master of bid fundamentals and an active team contributor who continues to raise the bar.

 

Examples of the Bid management team responsibilities include:

  • Collaborate extensively with our customers, the Sales and Account Management Teams to deliver customer-centric service whilst simultaneously delivering customer-centric tender submissions and proposals.
  • Obtain the bid qualification (go/no go), work through the bid process steps for all presented opportunities (internal/externally generated)
  • Prepare and review commercial aspects of the intended bid submission, ensuring all solutions and pricing are included and accurate
  • Contribution to the written proposal - both in terms of content and presentation (such as preparation of executive summary, solution overview and presentation shells)
  • Revision and understanding of conditions of bid participation and presented contracts
  • Understand and troubleshoot technical, strategic and business complexities as they arise
  • Lead and coordinate all post bid reviews with customers, for both successful bid contract award and unsuccessful bid outcomes.

 

Skills:

  • Customer-centric service to internal customers, stakeholders and colleagues at all levels within the organisation.
  • Proven project management, previous tender writing experience or formal qualifications (regarded)
  • Advanced level proficiency in Microsoft office or 365 app suite
  • Excellent organisation, communication and interpersonal negotiation skills
  • Demonstrates flexibility and adaptability within the workplace (working within deal timeline constraints)
  • Advanced in English communication, both written and verbal
  • Content or copywriting experience
  • Presentation design.
