Account Executive - POS Partnership

ANZ Worldline Payment Solutions is a joint venture between one of Europe’s leading payment technology companies, Worldline, and ANZ Banking Group.

 

We launched in Australia in early 2022, providing in-store and ecommerce payment solutions to around 60,000 Australian businesses. The opportunity

We are seeking a well-rounded payments industry professional to join our growing team, specifically related to Point-of-Sale Partnerships.  A skilled salesperson and relationship builder, you will be responsible for signing up new Point of Sale partners to the ANZ Worldline partnership program.  The goal is to establish a mutually beneficial partnership and work with these partners to distribute card present payment solutions to Australian businesses of all sizes.  You will have experience in developing and implementing sales strategies to uncover the aspirations and afflictions of current and prospective partners, nurture and grow relationships, as well as generate your own pipeline of opportunities to meet and exceed sales targets

 

Day-to-day responsibilities

  • Develop and implement sales strategies to drive growth through POS partnerships
  • Understand the end-to-end payments ecosystems and how this plays an important role in the success of business
  • Genuine opportunity to grow with the business and move into a management role
  • Establish and maintain relationships with key partners, associations, industry bodies to drive business opportunities and growth.
  • Be the face of ANZWL to the POS industry, through attendance at various industry events and conferences
  • Analyse market data and market trends to identify new business opportunities and market demands
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, product, and operations teams to ensure alignment and support
  • Manage and optimize the partner POS end-to-end value chain (offer, onboarding, service, etc) to improve user experience and drive sales
  • Forecast sales targets and develop action plans to achieve and exceed revenue goals
  • Monitor and report on sales performance, market trends, and competitive activities

 

What we are looking for

  • Proven track record of exceeding sales targets and driving business growth
  • A solid understanding of payments ecosystem encompassing Card Present and ecommerce payments
  • Awareness of changes in payments and how they affect partners
  • Strong communication and influencing skills 
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills to identify sales opportunities and drive business growth
  • Ability to simplify messaging and sell the value of the proposition in customer speak
  • Knowledge of sales prospecting, objection handling and pipeline management techniques and sales forecasting
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with sales and CRM software

 

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, or related field; preferred
  • 3+ years of experience in payments sales, business development, or related field
