The Opportunity

If you are a highly-skilled PHP developer, then get ready to join our Business Support Application team. You have commanding knowledge of software development and validated experience in testing? If finding and crafting software solutions as well as finding issues and fixing them with appealing, meticulous code are among the tasks that you’re passionate about, we’d like to hear from you. Knowledge about pricing processes and payments industry is a plus.

About the team

As a member of the Business Support Application Team, you will develop and maintain proprietary solutions within pricing scope, provide information & analytical support to the Commercial and Finance teams and be involved into shaping pricing processes at Worldline. Working cross-functionally in the company, you will develop data-driven pricing guidelines and tools to optimize profitability and set strategic prices in the market globally. We're looking for an energetic professional who is passionate about improving pricing and its processes and making a difference.

Your day-to-day responsibilities include

  • You develop solutions based on PHP and other used technologies (Symfony framework, MongoDB, Apache, Redis, …)
  • You actively participate in all phases of a software development project
  • You support the creation of technical concepts
  • You design test concepts according to the specifications of the project manager
  • You collaborate with colleagues to find and realize optimal client solutions

  • You collaborate effectively with other teams to pricing processes
  • You develop test concepts that prove the quality of our solutions
  • You examine existing code, identifying flaws and building solutions to improve
  • You help complete full software development processes for each assigned project, adhering to company standards and expectations
  • Skills we can’t do without:
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering or another related field
  • Sophisticated programming experience in the programming language PHP as well as website development with Angular, HTML5, CSS and JavaScript/Typescript
  • Expertise in handling of PHP Symfony frameworks (Ver 4+)
  • Knowledge of database technologies such as MongoDB, Redis and MySQL Server
  • Experience in debugging or remote debugging of PHP applications
  • Validated ability to document design processes, including development, tests, analytics, and solving problems
  • Fluency in English, French and Dutch are a plus
  • Skills we’d like
  • Experience in programming and performing developer tests and experience with test automation
  • Experience with non-relational (no-sql) databases (e.g. MongoDB, Redis, Elasticsearch, …)
  • Practical experience with version control systems (e. g. Git, Subversion)
  • Profound knowledge of agile methods (e. g. Scrum, Kanban)
  • Wish to continue to grow professional capabilities with ongoing training and educational opportunities
