Worldline is organized around 4 global business lines (GBL’s) : Merchant Services (MS), Terminals, Solutions & Services (TSS), Financial Services (FS) and Mobility & E-transactional services (MTS)

 

A key part of the TSS GBL’s strategic transformation is the build-up and delivery of a Payments Platform as a Service (PPaaS).

 

PPaaS ambition is to build a world-class, cloud-based Payments Platform as a Service (PPaaS) that empowers our ecosystem of clients and partners to offer their merchant customers state-of-the-art payment and commerce solutions available anytime, anywhere.

Mission:

Software Validation Engineer is part of the distributed Software Quality team in charge of the overall qualification and validation of cloud-based Payment Platform as a Service solutions.  His mission is to “play the role” of a user to implement actual use-cases, assess the quality of the product, and raise issues to get them fixed at the earliest. Software Validation Engineer is embedded in the End to End Validation team in a Safe Agile Train. He deals with a broad range of activities related to functional validation (front-end/web portals, back-end applications, mobile/android). He is responsible for analyzing requirements and challenge acceptance criteria. He is also in charge of test plan execution: test planning, test coding, running tests, trouble shooting, defect tracking and follow-up, tool and framework development. He works in close collaboration with other validation engineers, application QAs, automation colleagues, PM, PO, SM and developers to improve the overall quality of PPaaS deliverables.

 

Accountabilities:

  • Analysis of functional requirements, clarification of user journeys and acceptance criteria,
  • Contribution to the definition of overall test strategy (layers, approaches, technologies, methods, tools, etc…),
  • Definition, formalization and review of test plans,
  • Set-up and configuration of validation environment (applicative setting and mobile devices)
  • Development, coding, execution, maintenance and evolution of test cases,
  • Execution of test campaign, analysis of the results, debug and troubleshooting, support of development teams,
  • Bug tracking, analysis and introspection of the test plan, continuous improvement,
  • Organization and presentation of platform demos to non-R&D teams,
  • Contribution to documentation and knowledge model,
  • Development of test frameworks, environments, test tools, mockups, spikes, stubs, etc…

 

 

Profile:

Experience:

  • Bachelor of Technology or equivalent,
  • At least 3 years of experience in verifying/validating complex software-based systems, ideally delivered as a Service, ideally in a B to B context,

Mandatory Technical skills:

  • Familiar with test management and automation tools (X-Ray, Robot Framework, etc…),
  • Familiar with API testing tools (Postman, Insomnia ) and with API automation tools (Restassured,…),
  • Experience with bug tracking tools and associated lifecycles, as well as with collaborative tools (Atlassian Jira, Confluence),
  • Fair knowledge of Databases (SQL and even better No-SQL),
  • Familiar with scripting languages (Python, etc...).

 

Desired Technical skills:

  • Programming skills, fair knowledge of Java & javascript,
  • Familiar with web drivers and front-end testing tools (Selenium, Cypress, etc…),
  • Experience with CI tools and building pipelines (Jenkins, Gitlab, Maven, ArgoCD, etc…),
  • Understanding of public cloud architecture (AWS, GCP), and container orchestration (Kubernetes),

 

Non-technical skills:

  • Rigor and attention to detail,
  • Willingness to work in an Agile organization following SAFE principles,
  • Ability to work in a distributed organization (Europe and India), Ability to contribute in an autonomous way.
  • Team player. Ability to contribute in an autonomous way. Pro-active, problem solver. Respectful of other’s contributions.
  • Fluent in English. Understanding French is a plus.
