The Business Controller junior will integrate the Business Controlling Team of Acceptance Division (Merchant Services Global Business Unit). The key objective of the Business Controlling Team is to provide timely and qualitative information on business performance to the Acceptance Management (CTO and Heads of Domain). Acceptance Division is composed of 6 Domains (sub-divisions): eCommerce, In-Store, Online, Omnichannel & Shared Services, Portfolio Management, Performance & Transformation Management.


Reporting to the Acceptance Lead Business Controller, your will assist the Lead Business Controller in the following areas:


Actual business performance monitoring

  • Provide monthly Acceptance cost overview of Actuals vs Budget/Forecast/Last Year by Domain, Entity and Cost Category, with qualitative commentary of gaps obtained through proactive interactions with Merchant Services central controlling team and local entities
  • Monitor Acceptance workforce evolution on a monthly basis (new recruit, internalized subcontractor, attrition, internal transfer etc.) and ensure its consistency with the Business Roadmap
  • Consolidate Acceptance Monthly Report (coordination with Domain Heads and CTO required)
  • Prepare monthly reporting of project cost to Project Portfolio Management Office


Budget and forecast preparation

  • Proactively communicate with MS controlling team regarding budgeting and forecast process guidelines, reporting calendar and top-down adjustments/stretches
  • Drive the bottom-up process to build comprehensive budget and forecast for Acceptance Division and Domains, which requires financial modelling of assumptions related to activity ramp-up, headcount evolution, synergies, scope changes etc.



  • Together with the ACE team (within Performance & Transformation Management), lead the alignment of project cost reporting process across the entities (including homogeneous standard cost rate definition and time reporting methodology)
  • Participate in information system enhancement projects lead by Finance and support the deployment of Project Management tools.
  • Drive continuous improvement of data accuracy in the systems: identify incomplete or missing information/errors and ensure their timely correction, align KPI definitions etc.
  • Handle ad hoc requests and specific needs from CTO/Domains (mainly cost & KPI analyses)



  • Solid educational background (BAC+5) in Corporate Finance/Controlling/Management
  • Strong interest in financial reporting and systems: creation of complex reports, reconciliations, systems- related projects, new reporting models and automation
  • Strong analytical skills, problem solving skills, accuracy and attention to detail required.
  • Curious, proactive, rigorous, strong spirit of service and team spirit
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • At least 1 experience (Internship or apprentiship) of work experience in Corporate Finance/Controlling
  • A first experience in a multinational company is preferred (matrix organization is a plus)
  • Advanced Excel skills and MS Office required, knowledge of SAP (Bex Analyzer) is a plus
  • Fluency in English and French is required
