The Opportunity

You will work for Worldline’s Merchant Services Global Business Line. We cover the full retail value chain, online and in-store, through a complete approach, delivering a real digital journey for retailers and their customers and facilitating consumer engagement, via seamless services, on any device – with payment at the heart of the shopping experience.

 

More specifically, you will be working in Online Connectivity vertical responsible for the heart of our payment platform and customer facing One Connect API. You will help us process even higher number of transactions per second while keeping our customers happy.

 

Your day-to-day responsibilities include:

  • Be responsible for the full product lifecycle; Design, development, quality, deployment and maintenance and support. You build it you run it!
  • Design, develop and test Java based solutions using Spring frameworks
  • Translate software requirements into maintainable solutions within the existing application frameworks
  • Develop and keep up with best practices for developing applications
  • Contribute to the Agile ceremonies (Planning, demos, reviews, Stand up)
  • Contributes to the Stories refinement and estimation

  • For you, testing is of utmost importance; better yet, you think automated testing is the way forward for you to fully concentrate on writing software instead of focusing on debugging
  • Curious and creative, autonomous, and dynamic, strong attention to detail.

 

 

Skills we can’t do without:

  • At least 5 years of working experience in Java and/or JavaScript
  • Working experience in Java 8, Java 11+ and Spring Boot projects
  • Working experience in JavaScript, HTML and CSS
  • Working knowledge of React and Vanilla JavaScript (ES6)
  • Knowledge of REST eco-system with focus on web performance and security aspects
  • Knowledge of Unit Testing
  • SQL, RDBMS (Oracle, PostgreSQL, etc.)
  • Strong sense of accountability and ownership
  • Good team player and communicator with a flexible, customer-driven attitude.
  • Ability to work cross-culturally and across regions
  • Proficiency in English

 

 

Skills we’d like:

  • Experience with CI/CD and DevOps (Jenkins)
  • GIT / GitLab, Jira / Confluence tools
  • AWS or other cloud platform
  • Experience with Typescript
  • Experience with CSS-in-JS approach
  • Experience with Docker and micro-service or serverless architectures
  • Knowledge of Payment industry
