Ingenico ePayments – a Worldline brand, is the top tier full-service provider of local e-payment solutions across the globe. We enable our clients to realize their global ambitions and expand their e-commerce activities across the world. Every day we process millions of transactions ranging from the most common payment products (e.g. VISA, MasterCard, PayPal, iDeal, Direct Debits) to unique, country specific payment methods (e.g. Kombini, QIWI).


The Product Design & Delivery department is structured in DevOps, each Tribe is responsible for a specific part of our Product Portfolio or Technology Stack. A tribe consists of people from the R&D, Product and IT Operations department working closely together to achieve the common goals. 


The objective of our department is to develop, deliver and operate (you build it, own it and run it) the software product portfolio. DevOps autonomous Squads add value by crafting marketable products that help our customers to become more successful and by supporting Ingenico’s internal business processes. Agility, integrity, ambition, autonomy, flexibility and open communication are characteristics of the department. The team is highly international and the working language is English.


The Senior DevOps Manager is the servant leader. Each tribe consists of several Squads that deliver software changes for a specific Ingenico ePayments product line and are responsible for specific component(s) in every environment including production (PROD). The Senior DevOps Manager is hierarchically responsible for the IT people in the Tribe and is accountable for the smooth delivery of working products. The Senior DevOps Manager focusses on continuously improving the agility and overall delivery performance and closely liaises with the Product & Portfolio managers on the tactical & strategical vision as well as the mid & long-term priorities.


Your day-to-day responsibilities include: 

  • You continuously find ways to improve the delivery performance of the Tribe, the maintainability of the software, the collaboration with the tribe partners.
  • You are a servant leader to the people in the tribe by enabling them to be successful. 
  • You are an ambassador and mentor who continuously improve the Agile practices used by the tribe.
  • Together with the Continuous Delivery Lead, you drive a culture of efficient delivery within and outside the Tribe.
  • You provide a central node of communication for business, IT and improvement initiatives delivery status towards the key partners.
  • You make sure time spent by the Tribes is conforming with the 50/30/20 (Business/Tech Initiatives/Incidents&Problems) guideline; measure it and take appropriate actions.
  • People Management (HR) responsibility (20+ FTE) both internal as well as the external people in the Tribe (including subcontractors, offshore & near shore). 
  • Recruitment of talent and building high performance teams.
  • You Provide inputs to DevOps Director for the budget definition and consumption of the Tribe.
  • You are accountable to define the IT strategy & roadmap for the tribe together with the Tribe Architect.
  • You create and follow up on detailed execution plans where required and oversee the implementation of the product if needed.
  • You work closely with the other DevOps Managers & Product Managers and with other counterparts to drive delivery alignment and collaboration.
  • You are accountable for providing transparency on delivery and stimulate teamwork and team dedication.
  • You implement and optimize the internal delivery methodology, define and refine implementation metrics and expose tribe results.
  • You create and foster high performance culture, which leads to commitment, engagement and partnership between your tribe and all parts of the organization.
  • You contribute to organizational transformations (e.g. Agile Spotify Transformation, Dev/Ops).
  • You ensure your platform and way of working is compliant with internal (e.g. Audit, Risk) and external regulation (e.g. PCI , DNB).
  • You ensure you platform and way of working meets internal and external Service level agreements. (e.g. system uptime, incident handling).
  • You support Product Owner(s) in your team in the detailing of the roadmaps received from Product Managers.
  • You understand the added value of what is put on the roadmap from a business perspective and challenge if you don’t understand or agree.



Skills we can’t do without: 

  • 12+ years of hands on experience in taking a key role in an agile SDLC, for instance as Scrum Master, Senior Developer, Tech Lead, Team Lead, IT Manager, Product Manager or IT Project Manager
  • Experience in working in an international environment
  • 5+ years of people management experience in software delivery 
  • Demonstrated experience in complex IT organizations in senior roles which include budget management, re-structuring of activities & teams, executive level & quality of reporting
  • Experience in managing technical aspects of software delivery in at least three of the following areas: front end development, back end development, infrastructure, middleware, data warehousing, IT Operations
  • Experience in managing multiple multidiscipline squads (scrum teams) 
  • Good knowledge of financial and budgeting processes
  • Experience in defining & driving the IT strategy and transforming them into roadmap delivery and key team objectives 
  • Good knowledge of modern Agile development methodologies  and CI/CD concepts
  • Skills in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Powerpoint, Atlassian JIRA and Confluence
  • Intermediate knowledge of a Programming Language
  • Experience in Telco, Financial or Payment industry
  • Experience working with geographically dispersed teams, onshore, offshore and nearshore
  • English – excellent communication skills (both oral and written) – working language. French / Dutch – optional is a plus.
  • MSc/MA or BSc/BA degree in a technical subject
  • Agile Certification
