The Opportunity
We are looking for an Accountant to join our Group Accounting team in a role at the heart of our operations. You will work closely with operational teams, monitor key topics directly linked to business performance and development, and build strong relationships with PMOs and key partners across the organization.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
Working closely with the Finance department and all financial functions of the Group (Order-to-Cash teams, Business Controllers, Consolidation, Finance Management, Treasury, etc.), you will be responsible for the following tasks:
- Perform daily accounting activities: bank operations, purchases, sales, payroll, VAT, and general accounting, including analytical coding of entries.
- Process financial transactions: verification, classification, calculation, accounting and data entry.
- Prepare supplier payment runs according to deadlines (twice per month).
- Monitor and reconcile customer and supplier accounts regularly.
- Work with the FBO teams to ensure timely customer billing.
- Participate in monthly, quarterly and annual closings under IFRS and local GAAP.
- Produce regulatory reporting in accordance with local standards for tax authorities, and possibly central banks and works councils (monthly, quarterly and/or annually).
- Reconcile and justify open balance sheet items and participate in closing and balance sheet review meetings.
- Prepare and file statutory taxes: VAT, Corporate Income Tax, Environmental Taxes and other local taxes.
- Align monthly with the Consolidation team to validate intercompany positions (balance sheet and P&L) and prepare IFRS management reporting for consolidation purposes.
- Collaborate with Finance teams: Finance Business Operations, controlling, consolidation, treasury and other departments.
- Work with fiduciaries and consultants on local and international reporting.
- Manage relationships with external auditors and support internal and tax audits.
- Contribute to the design, maintenance and management of the internal control framework for existing and new activities.
- Continuously improve reporting processes and accounting controls.
- Ensure adherence to internal accounting policies.
Who Are We Looking For
We are seeking individuals capable of driving positive change—people who are proactive, passionate and ready to take initiative. In practice, this means:
- Minimum 3–4 years of experience in general accounting, either in a company or an audit firm.
- Autonomy in managing daily accounting tasks and standard tax declarations (especially VAT).
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Strong rigor, analytical skills and the ability to structure complex topics.
- Ability to work independently while meeting strict deadlines.
- Capacity to translate business needs for internal stakeholders.
- Proficiency in English (an additional language is a plus).
- Willingness to learn more about accounting, tax and reporting.
- Solid command of Excel and SAP
